Rocky Point Fire & EMS Burn Regulations 2024/ 2025

The following Rocky Point Fire & EMS District regulations MUST be
followed:

  1. A burn pile should be no larger than 4’ X 4’ x 3’high
  2. No more than 2 active piles per property
  3. There must be at least a 5’ clearance area beyond the burn pile base
  4. The base of the pile must be at least 25’ from combustibles to include fences and buildings
  5. All burning must occur during daylight hours and be fully extinguished by dusk
  6. A water source and hand tools must be on hand to control and extinguish the fire
  7. Adult must be monitoring the fire at all times
  8. The wind speed less than 10 mph
  9. The person conducting the fire is responsible for damage and the cost of an out of control burn as well as traffic problems and other hazards caused by smoke.
  10. In addition, Klamath County Public Health Air Quality Zone requirements for clean air are as follows: before burning call 541-882-2876 to learn if there are any daily restrictions, or permits required.
