Rocky Point Fire & EMS Burn Regulations 2024/ 2025

The following Rocky Point Fire & EMS District regulations MUST be
followed:
- A burn pile should be no larger than 4’ X 4’ x 3’high
- No more than 2 active piles per property
- There must be at least a 5’ clearance area beyond the burn pile base
- The base of the pile must be at least 25’ from combustibles to include fences and buildings
- All burning must occur during daylight hours and be fully extinguished by dusk
- A water source and hand tools must be on hand to control and extinguish the fire
- Adult must be monitoring the fire at all times
- The wind speed less than 10 mph
- The person conducting the fire is responsible for damage and the cost of an out of control burn as well as traffic problems and other hazards caused by smoke.
